Til tross for den ustabile politiske situasjonen i dagens Irak, kjennetegnet av borgerkrig, terror og sekterisk vold, utgjør Al-Anfal noe unikt ikke bare i irakisk, men også i internasjonal sammenheng. Den representerer en bevisst og nøye planlagt politikk der det tidligere regimet gjennomførte historiens første kjemiske gassangrep mot egne sivile innbyggere.

On Friday, March 16, the Centre for Studies of Holocaust and Religious Minorities (HL-senteret) in co-operation with The Norwegian Council for the Rights of Kurdish People (RKR) is holding a seminar on the attempted destruction of the Kurds. The seminar will focus on the causes, the events, and the aftermath of the Anfal.
